Only 23% of small firms have a written AI policy
Pax8's Q2 2026 Pulse report found only 23% of SMBs have a documented AI use policy; 28% have informal guidelines. Security or privacy concerns (23%) and lack of internal expertise (22%) are the top barriers to expanding AI use.
So what for your business: A one-page rule sheet (what customer data never goes into AI, which tools are approved) protects you before a crew member pastes the wrong thing.
